BOOK RECOMMENDATION

I'm off on my recommendation days, and since I didn't do one last week, I thought I'd do this week's early. I really think every woman should read Jodi Picoult and I'm using My Sister's Keeper with my student book club this year.

I'd love to know what the book nerds out there (and I use that term lovingly, cuz I'm a big time book nerd) think of it. I'll let you know later what my students think when they read it.

hi there -- hope I qualify as a book nerd . . .I'm an author and Jodi & I have the same publisher. I think My Sister's Keeper is her best book -- it promotes so much lively debate and has a really great ending. If you like Jodi and you read a lot you might like my latest--STANDING STILL. The critics loved it but it's always hard to get the word out so forgive me for shilling!! Check it out at bykellysimmons.com and have a good day.

I've read my sister's keeper, mercy, the pact, and change of heart so far. love them. can't wait to read more, although the are so intense i usually try to sprinkle them in between other reads- my heart couldn't stand to read them all in a row. I have shied away from 19 minutes so far, because I have a daughter just about to start high school and three behind her and I have anxiety. I'm not sure I could handle it yet, although I did ok with the pact...
